Introductions; Traffic Tuesdays

Hello, my name is Caelan Barends, and I will be your Wannabe Freelancer for tonight. As I’m sure you know, there are a great deal of blogs and websites out there from people like myself–new at the blogging/making money online game. Unfortunately, however, not many of these people are trying to market themselves to younger audiences. For instance, I am twenty-two years old, and the only blogs I come across from people my age are those from other countries–primarily the Philippines. There are a lot of advertising, pay per post, and affiliate programs that young people outside of the Philippines do not qualify for. Thus, in order to cater to young adults in the United States trying to make some money while attending university, already working a low-paying job, or both, I decided to start this blog: Wannabe Freelancer. I believe it’s important for “the youth” to come together and support one another in their efforts.
So, now you’re going to ask me, “What makes you so qualified for blogging tips?” Well, that’s precisely my point. I’m going to try a bunch of online money-making campaigns… and hope they work. And during that time, I’ll blog about what really works and what doesn’t. In addition to this blog, I run three others, plus I write content for a number of websites such as Associated Content, Triond, Constant Content, et al. Not to mention all of the “pay per post” programs that I am a part of. Admittedly, I think this blog will also serve as a log for my own personal inspiration. Got a problem with that? Okay, good.
Anyway, each day of the week will be divided into different categories: Money Mondays will chronicle how much money I’ve made for that week with the various campaigns; Traffic Tuesdays will discuss the various ways I try to gain traffic, and how much traffic I’m getting (if any); Web Design Wednesdays will be about different scripts I’ve been using, and the various tactics I use to make my blogs user-friendly; Theory Thursdays will be the days I try to come up with one really good idea to either actively or passively make money online; and Freelance Fridays will discuss the writing sites I use, and the articles I’ve been writing.
As I’m sure you’ve noticed, today is Traffic Tuesday.
